Q: When can I start my Internship?

A: Usually during summer or from Feburary to June. 

Q: How much do I have to pay?

A: 

1. Fixed Fee: $1750

2. Deposit: $1000

Q: What if I cannot get an offer during the contract valid period?

Q: What doesn't the fee include?

A: 

1. Half of the fixed fee shall be refunded and NO deposit will be refunded.

2. If you have been rejected in 10 company interviews, HKD $1000 deposit shall also be refunded.

Q: What can I expect of AIESEC if I go on an internship?

A: We will guide you through the internship selection and application process.

      Also, we will...

     -Assign you with an Exchange Participant (EP) Manger.

     -Provide you with CV and career planning workshops. 

Q: Does AIESEC provide domestic internship opportunities (within HK)?

A: No. Because cultural immersion is our goal, it is a rule within AIESEC that you may not participate in an AIESEC internship in a country where you have resided.

Q: How much time does it take to find an Internship?

A:  It depends on the choice of the country,the nature, the duration of your internship and your effors of finding one. Generally it takes a few months only. 

Q: Who will help me when I arrive in my host country?

A: The officers of AIESEC overseas will organize your accommodation, pick you up from the airport (or give you directions and the address of your accommodation), and accompany you to work on your first day. In addition, they will integrate you into their activities, organize events for you and the other interns and help you get to know the people and culture of their own country.

 

At the same time, your responsible officer in AIESEC-LC-CUHK will continue to assist you and keep track of your safety and performance during your internship porcess.

Q:Does AIESEC offers on-site accommodation? 

A: The AIESEC officers overseas will only facilitate the process. However,  it is not guaranteed.

Q: Will I be working as the only foreign intern in the company?

It depends on which internship you chose - some have up to 10 interns from all over the world working on one project, whilst others will have only one position

Q: What does student status mean?

A:  It means that you are not yet graduated and studying for bachelor/specialist/master/PHD degree in a university before and after the internship.

Q: What if I decide to stay for longer period than the Internship? can I prolong my Internship? or can I return earlier than it was agreed?

A: You can participate in our programme again and find another Internship during your internship period after your application is accepted. However, you cannot return from your Internship earlier than agreed because the exact duration is registered.
